Determining a Company Match
Creditsafe’s matching service is designed to match on 14 core data elements, including business names, addresses, postal/zip codes, and telephone numbers. Additionally, Creditsafe supports matching against public IDs commonly used by clients as identification numbers within their systems.

Note:
For France, if the organization number is provided as a SIREN, it is converted to a SIRET of the head office and matched that way. If the organization number is provided as a SIRET, it will be matched directly.VAT/Tax Numbers
Matching on VAT/Tax numbers is supported for the following countries:- Poland
- Sweden
- Austria
- Greece
- France (11 digits required)
- Belgium (
BE+ 10 digits required) - Italy
- Germany
Note:
Many national governments do not provide VAT identification numbers due to data protection laws. Availability of VAT numbers depends on the data provided by each country. For example, in Italy, only tax codes are matched.
If neither a registration number nor VAT number is provided, the input file must contain at least a company name and postcode or company name and telephone number.

Creditsafe’s matching service uses a range of routines to evaluate potential matches. While the service matches on 14 core elements, it also evaluates hundreds or thousands of permutations of data to ensure accurate results.
