Country Risk Data Quality and Coverage

Data quality indicates confidence in the available indicator coverage for each country.

Data Quality Fields

Each indicator family may include:

  • dataQualityCategorical
  • dataQualityNumeric

Categorical Levels

The categorical level may be one of:

  • Very Good
  • Good
  • Medium
  • Poor
  • Very Poor
  • Not Available

How to Use Data Quality in Decisions

Use data quality as a gating signal before score-based decisions:

  • Very Good/Good: strong confidence for score interpretation
  • Medium/Poor: use with caution and additional context
  • Very Poor/Not Available: avoid score-only decisions

Minimum Coverage Effects

If country coverage is below threshold:

  • score may be null
  • countryRank may be null
  • riskClassification* fields may be null

In these cases, treat the indicator as unavailable and avoid comparative ranking decisions.
